SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN

Office Location Map
Area Map

Our Southfield office opened in January of 1997 to serve our existing clients with operations in Metro Detroit and to expand our practice into that area's growing market. We are uniquely positioned to bring the professional and technical resources of the entire firm to bear for client service of this area, while maintaining the collegial atmosphere and family-friendly values that have been the hallmark of a career with Warner Norcross & Judd.

The Southfield office is staffed by 21 attorneys with broad experience in corporate transactions, tax, trusts and estates, environmental, international, real estate, securities and litigation. The office is technologically linked with our other offices to take advantage of the intellectual capital of the entire firm.

The city of Southfield is Michigan's premier business address and its undisputed business center. Southfield is one of the metro area's most desirable residential communities, with a nationally recognized school system, 10 colleges and universities, and more than 700 acres of parkland. Detroit is the largest city in the state, the 10th largest city in the United States and the eighth largest metropolitan area. As such, Metro Detroit is full of opportunity. General Motors' recent move to the downtown Renaissance Center, the new Comerica Park (home to the Detroit Tigers) and the opportunities presented by Detroit's federal Empowerment Zone designation have all created renewed optimism and activity in the downtown area, while growth and development continue to be strong in the surrounding suburbs. A $275 million MotorCity Casino and a $600 million MGM Grand Detroit Casino are under construction, as well as the International Riverfront development project along the Detroit River.

The Detroit area offers a wealth of sporting and recreational activities, including the professional sports teams the Lions, Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons and Shock. It is also home to the APBA Gold Cup boat races. In its 20th year, the Detroit Festival of the Arts features fine and performing arts and showcases Detroit's diverse cultural heritage. The continuing cultural rebirth of Detroit, which includes a world class symphony and the Michigan Opera Theater in its newly renovated opera house, as well as a wide variety of museums, theaters, festivals, sporting events and restaurants, provides the advantages of a major metropolitan area while still in reasonable proximity to affordable housing in a variety of communities.
