In 2008, we held interviews at the Midwest Region of the Black Law Students Association Job Fair, held at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and the Cook County Minority Job Fair, held in Chicago.
Our 2008 summer clerkship class was composed of 25 students from Cornell, Harvard, Indiana-Bloomington, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Stanford, University of Detroit, Vanderbilt and Wayne State. The class had 15 men and 10 women (14 second-year students and 11 first-year students). Five of the students were persons of color.
Our 2009 summer clerkship hiring is currently in process. We anticipate hiring a total of 25-30 second- and first year summer associates.
The 2008 class of associates was drawn from six different law schools, including Indiana-Bloomington, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and Wayne State. The group includes four women and five men.
The 2009 class of associates, who will start in the fall of 2009, is currently composed of five women and four men, drawn from four different law schools.
