Cameron S. DeLong, a partner with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been appointed secretary of the International Law Section of the Michigan State Bar.
DeLong, who concentrates his practice in international law, will serve a one-year term as secretary of the section. The section provides education, information and analysis about issues of concern through meetings, seminars, web site, public service programs and publication of a journal. Last year, DeLong served as treasurer of the section; he is slated to assume the role of chair in 2010.
Active professionally and in the community, DeLong is also a certified public accountant and a lecturer on a wide variety of business topics. He holds memberships in the American Bar Association, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
DeLong is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyers. He has held leadership positions with a number of community organizations, including Rockford United Methodist Church, St. Mary's Health Services and West Shore Health Services.
DeLong holds an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University with high honors and a doctor of jurisprudence magna cum laude from the University of Illinois.
